Why Doesn't My Windows USB Ports Not Working In My Computer?

if i were you, i would try to remove the drivers using device manager to see if its a hardware problem or if its a software problem.

try to delete the drivers, windows will automatically install them after you have removed them

i tried that but im still getting the errors

i dont know why this is happening, it was working good yesterday

how was i able to solve this problem? this is what i did

- ran a full virus scan with my anti-virus software
Results: it didnt find anything

so after i figured out there was not a virus. the only option i could think of is to reinstall the OS, but that would mean i would loos my documents and i didnt want to do that, but i was desperate so i inserted the windows 7 full cd and boot it of it.

fortunately, there was an option to restore to a point, so i did, and it went back to a restore point a couple of weeks earlier. now all my USB devices are working as they should.

the problem is that c:windowsinfinfcache.1 becomes corrupted. the fix is to delete that file. the trick is that you must first edit its file permissions to grant full control to the users group before you will be allowed to delete it.

my usb connections seem to be working. they are like frozen. when i connect my cords, they dont response. the fix seem to be very hard to do, im not very good at computers how much will it cost to fix this problem like at bestbuy geekscuad or something. i dont want to do it by myself. but i do appreciate the useful information about this usb thing
