i just got this error:
windows backup failed to create the shared protection point on the source volumes(0x8078006b)
additional information:
the specified object was not found. (0x80042308)
my case was i had windows 7 on a virtualbox machine and i upgraded to windows 10, so i wanted to create a backup image using the backup utility that comes with windows 10
i created a virtual drive where i can save the image, but while i was doing that, i got this error, to fix it this is what i had to do.
i went to control panel > Administrative tools > Computer Management >
in computer management, i went to
Computer management > Storage > Disk Management
i right click on the virtual drive i created and selected: Mark Partition as Active
that was it!
