is anyone getting an internal server error when they try to run rewrite engine on?

i dont know but for some reason, my .htaccess file was changed and now i am not sure what i did wrong to stop working.. it might be that the rewrite engine is off, but i have no idea how i can turn it back on.

do you have any suggestions?

do you remember how you turned it off? or disabled it?

might be just as simple as redoing what you did.

did you keep a back up file?

i dont know why i didnt think of this. yes, i did keep an old back up file which was working before. so i replaced it, and guess what... it works. hahahah. thanks for your help
