setting the SynFloodAttack pearmeter in the Windows registry amkes a windows NT, 200 or Server 2003 network more resistant to SYN flood attacks.
1. logon to your windows server
2. go to Start > Run
3. Enter
regedit and click Ok
4. Expand the following:
+ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
. + SYSTEM
.. + CurrentControlSet
... + Services
.... + Tcpip
5. Select and right-click on Parameters
6. Select New, DWORD Value
7. Type: SynAttackProtect and Hit Enter on your keyboard
8. now right click and select Modify
9. Enter 1 in the Value Data field and click ok
10. thats it, close the registry window
