i have a windows system and i also have firefox but when i click on an url shortcut it takes me to my firefox by default but the folders dont show up, but when i open it with internet explorer.it works im able to see my folders

what can i do?

you need to set internet explorer as you default browser here is how you would do it

To make Internet Explorer the default web browser
You can choose which web browser is used to view Internet content. For example, if you receive an e-mail message that contains a link to a website, you can choose which web browser is used to open that link. If Internet Explorer is not currently your default web browser, but you want it to be, follow these steps:

Open Internet Explorer
Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Programs tab, and then click Make default.
Click OK to return to Internet Explorer, and then close Internet Explorer.
