What Is Asymmetric Communication?
just wondering if you can explain what does asymetric mean? i want to put broadband in my house by the service i was told is asymmetric, what does asymmetric mean?

it just simple means that the communications is different between incoming and outgoing. for example, if you have dsl service, your isp provider will offer you ADSL like this:
download speed - 768kb - this is the download speed you will be using to get information from their network(internet) to your computer
upload speed: 128kb - this is the upload speed, in otherwords, the data you will be sending from your computer to their network(internet)
why is differs, the reason why its different its because most people use the download more than the upload, so they save money on their equipment load if they offer upload, this works because we as consumers dont use upload very much, but upload becomes very important if you have a server. but since of of us are clients, we need more download, servers need more upload capacity.
