i would like to get microsoft outlook e-mail like i have on my home computer. it is windows xp and this lap top is windows 7, how do i go abou that porcedure?

i tried intallin my att.net with outlook express, but it wont send any messages. and what is the isp for att? and do i select broadband?

how do i get to use att on outlook express.i have tried but no good.i did have out look in rochester.rr but i can not get it with att&t.

Note: These instructions apply to Microsoft Windows 95/98, ME, NT, 2000, and XP, and apply only to accessing your AT&T Worldnet(R) e-mail from another ISP.
To add an e-mail account for sending and receiving e-mail messages in Microsoft Outlook Express 5.x and 6.x:
- From the Start menu, select Programs, and then choose Outlook Express. Note: If you are using Windows XP, then from the Start menu, select All Programs, and then choose Outlook Express. The Microsoft Outlook Express window will appear.
- From the Tools menu, choose Accounts. The Internet Accounts window will appear.
- Click the Mail tab.
- Click the Add button.
- In the Display Name field, enter the name that you would like to appear in your e-mail messages and then click the Next button. Note: An example is Joe Smith or Joe's Tire Shop.

- In the E-mail Address field, enter your AT&T Worldnet Service e-mail address and then click the Next button. Note: An example is wnguyz12345@worldnet.att.net
- In the Incoming Mail (POP3) field, type ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net
- In the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) field, type imailhost.worldnet.att.net
- Click the Next button.
- In the Account Name field, enter your AT&T Worldnet Service e-mail address (not just your e-mail ID) using all lowercase letters. An example of an e-mail address is: wnguyz12345@worldnet.att.net
- In the Password field, enter your AT&T Worldnet Service e-mail password. Note: The password is case-sensitive and will not be visible as you type it.
- Place a checkmark beside the Remember Password option if you do not want to have to enter your password each time you check your e-mail.
- Click the Next button and then click the Finish button.
- Click the mail account that you just created and then click the Properties button.
- Click the Servers tab.
- Place a checkmark beside the My server requires authentication option.

- Click the Settings button.
- Select the Log on using option.
- In the Account name field, enter your AT&T Worldnet Service e-mail address (not just your e-mail ID) using all lowercase letters. An example of an e-mail address is: wnguyz12345@worldnet.att.net
- In the Password field, enter your AT&T Worldnet Service e-mail password. Note: The password is case-sensitive and will not be visible as you type it.
- Place a checkmark beside the Remember password option.

- Click the OK button. You will return to the Properties window.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Place a checkmark beside the This server requires a secure connection (SSL) option.
- In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field, type 465
- Place a checkmark beside the This server requires a secure connection (SSL) option.
- In the Incoming mail (POP3) field, type 995

- Click the Apply button, click the OK button, and then click the Close button.
- Connect to your other ISP, and using Microsoft Outlook Express, get your e-mail.
