How To Change Dns Ip Address Linux Command by malkos

i would like to know what command i need to use to change the dns ip address on my dedicated server i leased from you. it was installed with linux redhat

i was able to login to the shell through ssh but i dont know how to approach this..

you must use root type vim /etc/resolv.conf
it will show
# Generated by NetworkManager
nameserver

so you can change dns ip in nameserver and then please restart your network by command /etc/init.d/network restart

you need to edit this file:

/etc/resolv.conf

i have red hat fedora and i use this to edit this file:

nano /etc/resolv.conf
