i want to force windows remember the size and position of a windows i close, sometimes i expand to make it bigger or smaller then i can't resize it because its too big

what can i do so that next time i open the window again, it remembers how i closed it?

you need to hold CONTROL + SHIFT while you are closing the windows, this will recall the same position and size exactly as form where you closed it, try it and let me know if it works - i tried it on windows xp, it remember the window postition. i think it should be the same if you have vista or windows 7. so try any window like ie (internet explorer) or another non-windows software like firefox vlc
