I want to run a .pl script. I was to this type of file is a PERL script which is needed to run CGI scripts. Where to I uploaded these type of file in my folder or directory into my site?

You can run and create your own CGI/Perl scripts and upload it to your own cgi-bin directory. The 'cgi-bin' directory has already been created for you and is beside the 'web' directory. All CGI/Perl scripts should be uploaded in ASCII mode.

Using your FTP client software, login to your FTP account. At the root direcoty you will find a folder called "cgi-bin" This is the location where you can place your .pl or .cgi script to execute them with PERL.
