zeor configuration IP networking enables sharing of files and resouces in a TCP/IP network without manul or dynamic configuration. for example, with zeroconf, IP addresses are assigned automatically without the need fo a DHCP server, name resolution is provided without requiring a DNS server and resources in the network can be located without requiring a directory service

zeorconf is primarily used to create small home networks, or to create small networks on the fly. for example, during a business meeting
