Topic: What Is LDAP (lightweight Directory Access Protocol)
LDAP is a protocol suite used to enable applications to access information stored in X.500-compatible directories. Inforamtion sotred in these directories includes user names, email addresses and so on.. LDSP is based on the X.500 standard, but is much simpler in its implementation. LDAP is defined in RFC 1777 and 1778

honestly, i have never used LDAP.. or atleast i dont think i have

can you tell me more about LDAP?

LPD/LPR which stands for Line Printer Daemon/Line Printer remote and it enables the transfer of print jobs betwwen networked workstations and printers. the LPD protion of the software typically resides in the printer, the LPR portion on the workstation..

i hope that helps
