i made some security changes on my database server. i also tried to restart the server and whenever i do the restart command to make the changes affective, i get this error instead.

i made a backup file of the configuration file, so when i go back to the original configuration im still getting this error. im very scared i cannot access my database anymore if this error message keeps coming up.

MySQL server was working fine, i restarted the httpd apacher web server, but that is working ok. according to your instructions if the apache is working ok it should work.

have you tried rebooting your server. try it, sometimes that helps the error go away.
