SFTP is similar to FTP, but is used for secure, ecrypted file transer. file transfers can be accomplished between similar and dissimilar systems.

at one time i thought secured FTP would be FTPS. but i guess it wasn't


there is another protocol called TFTP which means Trival File Transfer Protocol, TFTP is also similar to FTP in that it is a methos to transfer files betwen disssimlar systems. however, TFTP doesn't support interactive use and is a bare-bones file transfer protocol used for special purposes

what else do you want to know about SFTP

can you tell me is sftp ecrypted or not? just want to know if this protocol is encrypted. thanks
