Topic: Sftp - Secure File Transfer Protocol
SFTP is similar to FTP, but is used for secure, ecrypted file transer. file transfers can be accomplished between similar and dissimilar systems.

at one time i thought secured FTP would be FTPS. but i guess it wasn't

there is another protocol called TFTP which means Trival File Transfer Protocol, TFTP is also similar to FTP in that it is a methos to transfer files betwen disssimlar systems. however, TFTP doesn't support interactive use and is a bare-bones file transfer protocol used for special purposes

what else do you want to know about SFTP
