Restore Lilo To The Mbr by Frank

i have a linux server and i need to know about restoring LILO back into the MBR because when i try to boot my server it doesnt, i was playing with LILO configuration and i dont know what i did. what can i do to fix it?

you can run a linux live cd if the boot loader is corrupt. then you can re-install the boot loader like grub or lilo to install lilo:

boot the system in rescue mode and run the lilo. which fixed the load install the boot loader by reading the configuration from /etc/lilo.conf

if LILO was on the MBR and you wiped it out, you'll need to boot Linux in some other way, such as by using LOADIN, and then rerun the lilo program to restore LILO to the MBR
