Printing Hidden Files In Unix by stand

im a newbie when it comes to linux can you tell me how i can show hidden files in linux

i was able to login to the shell but i want to see the files that are hidden in a directory

basically im looking for a file called .htaccess in my /var/www/html directory

hmm, ok, if you want to show the hiden files send this command

ls -a /var/www/html
