half-duplex communictions means that each participant only transmits when the other listens. half-duplex is more than a police conversation. ther is no way to two computers to transmit at the same time

full-duplex allows transmission both ways at the same time. but using full-duplex communications, both parties can transmit simultaneously, the computer cna received data while it is transmitting and vice versa
