hi i want to install Fedora Core 7 from a DVD drive and i keep getting this error when i try to boo from the dvd drive on my computer:

Loading vmlinuz...........................
Loading initrd.img ..........................................
isolinux: Disk error 80, AX = 423Ek, drive 9F

Boot failed: press a key to rety...


what can i do.??

i was having the same problem, so what i did to overcome this error is i cleaned the cd with a cd cleaning kit. i think my cd was dirty from all my fingerprints. so if you are also getting this error, try cleaning your disk.

oh wow, it worked.. i see running sbin loader..
now i see the cd found screen to test my media..

its working. thanks.

ok, try this on the new drive..

you know when you are the welcome to fedora screen, at the bottom you see a timer that says " automatic boo in xx seconds.. well, let it timeout until it starts to boot by if self, i find that if i press any key, i get an error a

i had the same problem, make sure you have your drives configured correctly. for example, make sure you have the pin setting correctly, slave goes with slave and master goes with master.
