i followed your instructions but they didnt work.

what do i do now?

im getting this error on my linux server:




switchroot: mount failed: No Such file or directory
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init

the boot.log file contains system messages. check this file, it probably will give you some information about the problem. the /var/log/messages file will contain error messages generated by the kernel before the machine was rebooted, so /var/log/messages would be the first file to check if i were you to determine what is the problem with your system.
