How To Open Security Configuration And Analysis by Erik
i tried using the control panel, even under administrative tools and i dont see anything that says Security Configuration and Analysis.

this is what you do:
go to the run window and enter: mmc
then click ok
in the console root, go to File - Add/Remove Snap-in...
click on the Add button
select Security Configuration and Analysis from the list

click add then click close (the window will close)
on the Add/Remove Snap-in window, click OK
now you should see a Security Configuration and Analysis in the list.
if you have not added a database, follow the instructions.
once you have completed the instructions, you should see the Security Configuration and Analysis snap-in:

Instructions for adding a database:
go to the run window and enter: mmc

click on the Add button
select Security Configuration and Analysis from the list

on the Add/Remove Snap-in window, click OK
now you should see a Security Configuration and Analysis in the list.

Right-click the Security Configuration and Analysis scope item
Click Open Database

Type a new database name, and then click Open
Select a security template to import, and then click Open
