how to check version of apache http server in linux without having a gui platform.

i only have access to ssh so i guess i need the command to check it

or if i can do it through a web platform

its very easy, just send this command:

httpd -v


if you want to use a web platform, try using a phpinfo file with php..
this is asuming you have php on your web server.
