How To Check The Status Of Squid by Berio22

i need to know what is the linux shell commmand to check the status of squid server. since i dont have a gui, i need to find out how i can tell if its running or now. i can't connect to my server and i suspect that its a firewall issue but my support group is telling me that its not the server, that is my firewall blocking that port.

can you help

you can send the netstat command and see if its running.
