Post Description: i followed your tutorial, which is very helpful by the way, but when i finished my configuration i see this message on my hyperterminal, it says warning: http server is not yet enabled to allow asdm access.

you dont need to be concern for now. follow each step on the tutorial and eventually you will get to the step where it shows you how to access the control panel through your web browser, but if you need to enable, you can send this command:

http server enable


* be sure you are in enable mode

if you want to reset the configuration to the cisco factory defaults you can send this command:


# configure factory-default

this command works like when you want to access the asdm control panel using the ip address 192.168.1.1

also, when you send this command, it will automatically enable the http server, so you wont see this error anymore
